ALBERTA HEALTH SERVICES  MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTIONS

Alberta Health Services (AHS) offers mental health and addictions services throughout the province which is covered by provincial healthcare. Services vary throughout the province. The link below will take you to the AHS site where you can click on your zone for more information.

ONLINE MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORTS

Togetherall: Togetherall is a safe, online peer-to-peer support, available online 24/7. This online community offers a space to share anonymously to receive and give support to others. The community is supported by trained mental health workers called Wall Guides. The site also offers courses, self-assessments, goal-setting tools, and other resources to help you manage your mental health. 

Wellness Together Canada: Offers free mental health supports, tailored to individuals' needs. Starts with a self-assessment as a first step to connecting with appropriate services. Offers one to one counselling, health metrics, self-guided courses and apps, and an online community of support and coaching. 

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION RECOVERY COLLEGES

The Canadian Mental Health Association Recovery College has centres in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Lethbridge, and Fort MacMurray. Each Recovery College offers free courses in mental health and well-being (many of which are offered online during the COVID-19 pandemic). Courses cover topics such as: stress management, boundaries, mindfulness, self-compassion, COVID-19 support, caregiver connections, communication, and emotional coping skills.
